Vandal jumps out of SUV to damage NYC synagogue in suspected hate crime

A vandal jumped out of an SUV and ran through a synagogue’s vinyl fencing in a suspected hate crime on Staten Island over the weekend, cops said.

A photo released by cops shows the creep “causing damage to the fence” at the Congregation Toras Emes of Staten Island Synagogue on Hylan Boulevard around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, police said.

The ruffian jumped out of the rear passenger seat of a white Honda SUV and “ran through the PVC fence,” cops said. The vehicle took off south on the boulevard after he got back inside.

The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the incident.
