Quick 24 News

Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Las Vegas Raiders

Tom Brady’s season is over. And of course, speculation is already swirling about his next move. Brady, who turns 46 in August, may (finally) be ready to hang it up.

“I’m going to go home and get a good night’s sleep … as good as I can tonight,” Brady said after the game when asked about his playing future.

Regardless, sportsbooks wasted no time providing bettors with odds on the five-time Super Bowl champions’ next team, should he decide to come back for a 24th NFL season.

Let’s take a look at Brady’s options they have and the odds on his next destination, courtesy of PointsBet Sportsbook.

Unlike the Jets’ next quarterback odds, this market is not eligible to be bet in New Jersey but is for Illinois bettors.

Las Vegas Raiders +255

Outside of staying in Tampa, the Raiders are the favorite. Las Vegas all-but-said goodbye to their long-time quarterback Derek Carr after benching him with two games to go this season. Once Carr is officially cut, the Raiders will have roughly $50 million in cap space to bring in someone of Brady’s stature.

The Raiders are already rumored to be interested in the future Hall of Famer. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that Brady is expected draw interest from at least three teams, including the Raiders.

There’s familiarity here as well. Brady played under McDaniels’ for over a decade with the Patriots, winning multiple Super Bowls along the way. Getting to throw the ball to Davante Adams every Sunday has to pique Brady’s interest as well.

Miami Dolphins +600

It seems like ages ago now, but we’re less than a year removed from Brady nearly bolting to Miami.

Mike McDaniel’s high-flying offense and Miami’s bevy of offensive weapons might make this one of the best personnel fits. Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle would give Brady the best pair of playmakers he’s had since his New England days.

South Florida would allow Brady to stay near his kids, which has consistently been a theme when theorizing about his next team. The Dolphins may be the right balance between an eighth Super Bowl title and family time.

But this one might largely depend on the health of Miami’s current quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. If the Dolphins are confident he’ll be at full strength, it’s hard to see them moving on.

Tennessee Titans +1100

Don’t break the bank on this one, but Tennessee should be seen as a strong sleeper for Brady’s services.

There was some flirtation between Brady and the Titans in 2020, and he has a solid relationship with their head coach Mike Vrabel, who played eight seasons with the quarterback in New England.

With one of the best running backs in the game in Derrick Henry and the top rushing defense in the NFL last season, the Titans may be a star quarterback away from being a solid playoff team, especially after starting the likes of Josh Dobbs and Malik Willis after a late-season injury to Ryan Tannehill.

Tennessee was included in Rapoport’s report as well, but I still think this one is unlikely. There are better fits football- and family-wise, but interest is there.
