“I’d Love To Play For Liverpool” – Chelsea Forward Drops Transfer Hints As Liverpool Are Lining Up A Shock Move For The Superstar

“I’d love to play for liverpool” – Chelsea forward drops transfer hints as Liverpool are lining up a shock move for the superstar

Following the departure of Sadio Mane, Liverpool is planning a surprise move for a Chelsea forward.

As they migrate away from veterans in their squad, Liverpool has demonstrated an amazing talent for bringing in players beforehand.

Roberto Firmino, who was once a crucial player but has been effortlessly replaced, is maybe the best example. Few, though, could have possibly seen their most recent victim coming.

Timo Werner, a forward for Chelsea, is reportedly being considered by Liverpool, according to Football Insider. The story did make clear that they weren’t in discussions with Thomas Tuchel’s camp; rather, it said that Klopp might consider him.

In the 2019–20 Bundesliga, Werner scored 28 goals.

Even having Firmino, Diogo Jota, Mohamed Salah, and Luis Diaz now available, Liverpool may want to make sure they have a variety of options after Sadio Mane’s transfer to Bayern Munich.

With only 23 goals to show for his efforts, Werner, 26, has just finished his second season in London and has fallen short of expectations.

In his final season at RB Leipzig, he exceeded that total in the Bundesliga alone, and reportedly it is part of the appeal.

Werner was a target for Liverpool when he joined Chelsea because they believe he would perform better with a higher press there than at Chelsea.

Regarding Werner’s fit, Liverpool might have a point. But his lack of confidence at Chelsea may be a major contributor to his dismal performance.

The Reds will need to balance any potential cost with their own confidence that they can bring back the Leipzig striker.
