BangShift.com Fixing A Scrapped Lathe: One Man’s Junk Is Another Man’s Treasure!

I tell people all the time that I’d love to have awesome tools, but I’m usually a broke d!ck and can’t afford that stuff. Because of that, I am always looking for used tools and equipment that come up for sale or at auction. I don’t often get some dream machine, but on occasion, I come across something that needs repairs and wonder if it would be worth buying. Lathes and mills are the most common, but because I’m not a machinist I am usually hesitant. After all, I don’t have room to have that kind of thing just sitting around if it doesn’t work.

In this video you are going to see one of these tools, that someone else thought was worth nothing but scrap, come back to life. This is how to take a lathe that is ready for the junkyard and make it into something you could still use in your garage or workshop. The same principles apply to fixing other tools and equipment too, so use this as inspiration, I know I am!

Video Description:
