Alongside Bellingham: Liverpool also planning move to sign ‘Sublime’ player for Jurgen Klopp
Liverpool are reportedly putting plans in place to sign Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount in 2023.
It appears that a new midfielder is high on the Anfield agenda, as the Reds have added Cody Gakpo to their attacking ranks this month.
Jude Bellingham of Borussia Dortmund appears to be the team’s primary target, and conversations about a prospective transfer have already taken place.
The contracts of players like Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita, and James Milner expire at the end of the current campaign, and it appears that Liverpool executives are also interested in another England international in Mount, whom journalist Josh Bunting previously dubbed as “sublime.”
According to a report from The Guardian published on Friday regarding Mount, Chelsea are increasing up efforts to reach a new contract agreement with the player as a result of Liverpool making preparations for a summer transfer.
Those at Stamford Bridge are optimistic the 24-year-old will remain at the club, despite the fact that the Reds are prepared to firm up their interest with Mount into the final 18 months of his contract.
